passes_gmGeordieMac has a small, but perfectly formed roster of world-class musicians.

The musicians are looked after by Jane-Ann Purdy who became the manager of Shooglenifty in August 2014. As seems traditional in music management (see Andrew Loog Oldham, Shep Gordon, Brian Epstein – all role models!) she had never managed a band before, but she had a lot of previous and varied experience that the Shoogles were sure would stand her in good stead.

In previous lives Jane-Ann was a nanny, television and film producer, journalist, editor, copywriter, web designer, and Shaw Method of swimming teacher. All skills that have informed this new role in some way. Oh yes, and she does help her partner Douglas Robertson organise six house concerts a month plus one each Monday in the Traverse Theatre Bar.

In 2015 she took on management duties for one of Scotland’s finest vocalists Kaela Rowan and the multi-national virtuoso fiddle combo String Sisters.
