The past week has been a bit of a roller coaster, what with the dog’s ingestion of rat poison on Saturday, the stomach pumping (his) and stomach churning (mine) at the emergency vet’s (why do animals always choose to do dangerous things at weekends …?), but the most interesting day was actually last Thursday (29 July). Why? Because, number 1,  I got to fulfill a swimming ambition – to take a dip at Drumsheugh Baths Club, and, number 2, I attended my first Video Lab.
