Amanda Shearman is a cellist with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and an Alexander Technique teacher based in Glasgow.
As a newly qualified Alexander teacher Amanda was looking at ways to promote herself. When she saw the photographs that GeordieMac photographer Douglas Robertson produced for her, and the website we put together for her friend and fellow Alexander teacher Susannah Baker she was sure that online promotion was the way to go. As with Susannah we were able to put together a low cost site using a customised WordPress theme.
Being able to work with Douglas’s photographs made the site easy to put together, but the icing on the cake was how Amanda applied herself to her WordPress training. Despite categorising herself as a complete techno-phobe, Amanda has become a regular blogger which is great for moving her site up in the Google rankings.
“I’m thrilled with the website that Jane-Ann has designed for me. She understands the nature of my business so created something very clear, informative, and interesting. I now recommend Jane-Ann to friends and colleagues knowing that she is reliable, enthusiastic, and very easy to work with.”
