In September 2011, Susannah Baker was just setting up her Alexander Technique teaching practice in Bristol and so was keen to launch a web presence as soon as possible. Susannah’s brief was that the content of the site was extremely important: music to my ears.
She was particularly keen to get clean, clear images for the site so we spoke to GeordieMac partner Douglas Robertson who took a selection of studio images that illustrate perfectly what Susannah’s business and the Alexander Technique is all about.
Written content was down to Jane-Ann. Her focus was two-fold: emphasising the benefits of Alexander Technique, and promoting Susannah to her local area (Bristol).
For the website itself we used a simple WordPress theme that was customised to Susannah’s specifications. The result is an easy-to-navigate site with lots of useful information about the Alexander Technique, and Susannah’s lessons.
Going forward, Susannah has received training in how to keep the site updated herself. She’s now sharing lots of her own Alexander-based wisdom on her blog, which is great for her pupils and anyone who is interested in learning how to change their life for the better.
